" Memories Of Her "

A world of beauty has faded away from an old mans memories of yesterday. He walks with a limp but a heart full of song. He has forgotten the words, it's been so long.

It was if he remembers it right. He and his gal went dancing on Saturday night.

But something happened and it slowed him down. And now it's only the memories that comes around.

He walks slowly to his garden and picks a single rose and puts it in a vase. Now he walks down the road to his favorite place.

He makes the same trip every day. He puts the rose on the grave and kneels down to pray.

As the tears roll down his weather beaten face he knows that someday this will be his final resting place.

Lord, you must have needed her more then she wanted to stay. And that is why you took my Rosie away. Lord don't let it be to long before you let me join her someday.

Rosie told me something just before she went away. And that's one of the few things I still remember today.

It was the words in a song that Red Foley used to do. And she said to me,"I'll walk just beyond the clouds and I'll stop and wait for you."
