O' Great Spirit Whose voice I hear in the winds, And Whose breath gives life to all the world, hear me ! I am small and weak,I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes ever behold the red purple sunset. Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may understand the things You have taught my people, Let me learn the lessons You have hidden in every leaf and rock,
I seek strength not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy, myself.
Make me always ready to come
to You with clean hands
and straight eyes,
So when life fades,as the
fading sunset, my spirit may
come to you without shame
Journey Of An Indian I've stood atop a mountain...and touched the
setting sun,I've danced the skies on eagle's wings...and through the meadows run.
I've spanned the deepest ocean...on the trail end of a breeze,
I've reached into the velvet night...for the stars between the trees.
I've streached out across the rainbow...between the pinks and
blues,
I've drank in the sun's rays....of it's golden hues.
My dreams have rested on a downy cloud...drifting threw the
air,I've washed my soul in
waterfalls...amid the flowers there!
I've danced between the raindrops...and laid upon the snow,I've gathered autumn leaves....
from where the river flows
My spirit ,now is happy...on the mountain, it has stayed,Before
me lies my journey...while the winters of life must fade.
