I know about being struck dumb, it happened to me, it hit me so hard I couldn't see .

I was fishing on Cedar Creek Lake, and having a hard time keeping my line out of the tree. I got my line free, and dropped it back in the water, something took the line, I didn't know what it was, but I knew I had caught her. First, I dropped my fishing rod, and the last thing I remember saying was, "Oh, My God!" and then I couldn't see a thing.

My mind went blank and my ears began to ring. My chest felt like it was being crushed by a huge boulder , and my arms went numb all the way to my shoulder. My mouth went dry, and I bit my tongue, I had done that a time or two, when I was young.

My knees were shaking, my lips had just formed the words, "Please, legs don't let me down." Too late I was on the ground.

Now I knew I had to get control of this mess, that's when the Superman in me kicked in, I guess. I jumped in the lake up to my neck, and grabbed my rod and reel, by heck.

I pulled and cranked, cranked and pulled with all my might, he put up one hell of a fight. That thing on my line was strong and mean; I had caught the biggest bass I had ever seen.

Now, if you think my story is kinda tall, come over to my house, I'll show you the biggest bass you've ever saw, hanging on my den wall.
