The Monsters Are Here

I woke up this morning to a terrible sound, the cicadas were coming up out of of the ground. The awful noise was piercing my head, I pulled the covers over me, I didn't want to get out of bed.

But I got up and opened the door to see these ugly bugs covering my porch floor. The birds were feasting to their their delight and to my grandsons this was an awesome sight.

Now cooking these things for dinner is quite a feat, but if you get it right they're quite a treat.

Now you talk about being the underdog of the bug world, they wait seventeen years just to get a girl.

You are in awe by natures fury, they come up out of the ground, with their amplifiied sound, after seventeen years, boy are they in a hurry.

Now if you are looking for a way to get rid of a few, heres a tip on what to do. If you attempt to stomp them, nothing is slower, the way to take them out is with a flamethrower.

Now don't waste time tearing off their wings, because they really don't need those silly things. And to make sure they're dead, aim the flame straight at their head.

They will come through the doors, the windows, and even your drain. With their hungry stare, licking their lips, they only want to eat your brain.

They come in hordes like an army of locusts do. They having nothing better to live for than to come up on your porch and die in front of you.

You may wonder what it's all about, but you've never seen anything quite like this, there's no doubt. The two-thousand and four bug battle is on, it's an experience you can share and talk about until they are gone.
